Turns out, all cookies were missing was ganache.
A mother. A daughter. A whole lot of chocolate.
A kitchen. A dream. One very good idea.
It started the way most great things do — Afaf (Catherine's mom) made another batch of delicious ganache-filled chocolate truffles that Catherine was very much enjoying. Mid-bite, Catherine asked: why don't we put ganache in more things, like cookies? Afaf laughed at her and shooed her away. But Catherine couldn't get the idea out of her mind and was determined to see it through. She asked (forced) Afaf to test out putting ganache in cookies.
23 batches later, Whisked Away's ganache-filled cookies were born.
Two women. One obsession.
Catherine
The CEO — which is a fancy title for someone who wears all the hats. When she's not waking up at 4am with a wild new flavour she absolutely has to test, she's running all operations and making sure nothing's on fire. Spoiler: something is always on fire. She handles it anyway.
Afaf
Our Head Chef — and yes, Catherine's mother. She makes sure everyone knows it. Her love for baking started in her childhood kitchen in Sudan. From school bake sales to Le Cordon Bleu, she has been whipping up sweet magic her entire life. When you bite into one of our cookies, you're tasting her passion, hard work, and most importantly, love.
